A poem from my “Nothing but Nonsense” period (September, 1997 – March 1998)
Jesus was a-sitting on his rock when the serpent asked the time. He answered, "go ask L." So, she came a-walking, a-moving throwing all equilibrium for a loop. I was sitting on a dock pretending to be pretty when I saw her guns riding grab-a-T. "Excuse me, if you will," the serpent said to me. "Have you ever heard of time?" I wasn't sure what to respond. Sure I could, sure I would, But after that, where am I to be? So, I made a date to see her tonight, but I know she'll never show up cus she doesn't have a watch.
